No, it’s not a circus. It’s not a musical. It’s not even a variety show or vaudeville…

I’ve never had the opportunity to see Cirque de Soleil except for some clips on the television, but I really would love to!

Now, this show sounds like it’s just a mixture of everything and that it will be intensely entertaining…I would really love to be able to see this one.

Apparently, this show is about Schmelky – a grumpy and cruel producer – that tantalizes Emmett, a young and romantic actor that auditions for him, with fame and fortune. Soon, Emmett finds himself immersed in a crazed and flamboyant world of crazy characters all under the supreme terrorous reign of Schmelky. Emmett falls in love with a leading lady and meets the Banana Man.

I’m not sure what the Banana Man is all about…I think maybe Emmett befriends him and they knock Schmelky out of his dictatorship! Hmmm??? That’s my opinion. LOL

I know I do…

I just came across a website today called ActorCast – are you on it?

I just signed up today, but haven’t completed all of my profile yet.

Basically, it provides aspiring actors all the access they need to the major film and television productions out there…

This will level the playing field for actors all over the world trying to land roles in Hollywood.

Apparently, ActorCast.com is the offspring of Cast It Systems – an online database compiled for casting directors of actors out there ready for work.

In fact, I even got to read an article on the New York Times about Cast It Systems’ successes…now, that’s credible.

Auditions can be privately uploaded and sent to interested directors that be and it can all be done in seconds, instead of  mailing audition DVDs or tapes.

This is making the process of auditioning easier, cheaper (because you don’t have to travel), and more open to actors from all over the place!

I’m excited about this because I split time in Niagara Falls, Canada and Dallas, Texas. So, obviously, I’m not near the epicenter of castings for major film and TV roles…

Wow – get in on this while you still can!

So, we rented movies last weekend as usual, and we got “You Don’t Mess With The Zohan” and “Hitman”.

I’ll talk about Zohan in a subsequent post, but for now, I want to speak on “Hitman”.

I didn’t really want to see this movie. In fact, I kept passing it up for a few months now, so it seems, at Blockbuster.

My hubby had seen a few snippets while visiting some family and this was his choice of movie.

Last night, we watched “The Eye” with Jessica Alba. Now, I’ve liked Jessica Alba since she first starred in Dark Angel on television.

The previews made us think that this movie might be a little too scary for me to watch, but we pursued it. I said we’d just turn it off if I couldn’t handle it…LOL…

I was a little worried at times, but it was all good.

Pleasantly surprised at how good the movie was, and the great story line behind the movie impressed us.

We thought it might just be another thriller with scary scenes that ended in a stupid, horror-movie type theme…

We were wrong. Jessica Alba did a great job portraying a blinded girl, who received cornea implants to give her sight, but not like other people…

She starts to see strange sightings…things that aren’t really there…things others DON’T see…

It’s not a children’s movie, but it’s not so scary you’ll have nightmares afterwards.

I give this movie a 4 stars and a thumbs up! Definitely worth the watch!

Featuring Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah, Katie Holmes and Ted Danson, Mad Money is entertaining.

It’s about some ordinary financially struggling families and individuals that finally find a way to get ahead in life…by stealing money from a federal reserve bank…

The story is all about the planning, executing and situations that arise because of their crime…

We enjoyed this comedy, but got a little frustrated that the story line dragged along for a while…They could’ve cut out some of the “more of the same” in the middle…

Not for children or pre-teens for sure…it’s an adult movie, in our opinion.

We give it 3 1/4 stars…LOL…

Worth a watch…

Well, it’s The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy! Yup…I am a Rings freak!

I could not even begin to tell you how many times we have watched all 3 movies in our household…Good thing everyone in the house is just as crazy for it!

If you have never ever seen The Lord Of The Rings, it is a serious MUST! The acting, for every character, is superb! The videography is wonderful, the New Zealand scenery is amazing, and the special effects are too good!!!

My mother says the epic novel, The Lord of the Rings in a 3 Volume (Trilogy) Set, written by J.R.R. Tolkien is even better than the movies, if that is at all possible!
