Wallaby Dream Journal Entry

The other night, I had a dream I was in the Outback of Australia with my husband.

We came upon a group of wallabies, one of which was very interested in what we were doing.

This little wallaby approached me and started to want to smell my hair and face and was trying to cuddle me. He was absolutely adorable and had one brown eye and one blue eye.

As humans do, I spoke to it softly in a higher pitch tone telling it how cute it was, and told it my name.

No sooner did I do that, but in it’s own little voice, it repeated my first name to me, as if asking me if he was correct…

Shocked out of my mind, I tried to get my husband’s attention without alarming the animal by speaking too loudly. He didn’t hear me…

So, I continued my conversation with the wallaby and confirmed and repeated my name while pointing to my chest (as if to say, “Kimberly is me”).

The wallaby then said, “Me…God-lit”.

Not only was I tripping out at the fact that this animal was trying to cuddle with me, wasn’t scared at all, but he was not talking and trying to communicate me. To top it all off, his name was God-lit.

How beautiful? How fitting? How amazing?

He was well aware of our Higher Power that rules and governs all of the universe, and the One that made him – that lit him up inside…Wow! My heart lept for joy in my chest!

I was in awe of the Lord and it brought me to tears – the entire experience – I was really touched in my dream. So full of peace and joy!

What an awesome feeling it must have been for Adam in the Garden to have had a friendly relationship with all the animals, and to be able to communicate with them all…I am Wowed! Truly!

It is a shame we can’t have it the same way today as it was then.

Yes, sure, you have glimpses of what that’s like when your dog mimmicks you in your speech like ours do – they say, “I Love You” when they want to go outside or when they think you’re sad…really, it sounds like that!

Nonetheless, I had a great dream. It made me cry, it made me smile and it made me celebrate our Amazing God!

Canadian “Husky” Bear Dream & Hairless Rabbits

Early this morning, I was dreaming I had a bear, who was supposed to be a cub, but looked nearly full grown to me.

I don’t know why, but I kept calling him a Canadian “husky” bear – not a grizzly or black bear, but a husky bear.

Apparently, he was getting along well with my family and dogs and we were bringing him to meet my mother.

He was quite an intimidating bear, as he was quite large and shaggy – not like the picture above…LOL

What an amazing bear and I felt this real heartwarming connection with him – like I was his mommy…It was beautiful.

That dream went into this one, from what I remember:

Then, I had a dream I was in some kind of pet store with my mother and a few friends.

I was walking around in amazement that they had such strange, unique and exotic animals there…

They even had a baby male lion, a few other exotic cats I couldn’t place, bear cubs, penguins, strange and wonderful birds from all over the place. Really? Yes!

Then, I came upon a cage where there were about 8 hairless rabbits that looked pinky/browny on their skin, but sweet nonetheless, and giving you “that look” like, “Please take me home…”

I pet a few of them and turned to walk out of that area of the store to tell my mother.

Well, they all jumped out of their cage and jumped on my pant legs latching on for dear life. I was trying to get away, with no avail.

So, I tried to get a few off of me and they wouldn’t release their paws…So, I was calling for my mother to come help me and a store clerk came to help – then, I woke up…Wow – crazy bunnies!

Quick Class Credit and Rottweiller Dogs Dream

Okay, this one’s a little “strange”…

Basically, I was back in a program in university, but it was being featured on a reality show, where you could quickly work in a business setting, related to the class you wanted to take/get credit in and you’d get a crash course.

Then, you’d take the final exam later that day and see if you could pass it simply by using the experience you just had working.

Okay, so since I took Pre-Med, I had a lot of Biology courses and had actually, in real life, started taking Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University…this might be why my dream took the direction it did…

I had a “condensed” version of this concept and had a few jobs I took – One was in a laboratory and we were doing all kinds of chemistry experiments (I have a Chemistry minor in real life…LOL)…That was a little hectic and crazy.

Then, I went to a different place, it seemed like an animal shelter of some kind. There happened to be a “couple” of Rottweillers, a male and a female, who had like 20 puppies that were only a few weeks old at that time…

Me and another girl with me had to get them all transferred to where they bathe and groom the dogs and give them all a bath.

Of course, as with any other reality program, we’re all rushing around as fast as we can, right?

So, the other girl was in charge of bathing all the puppies, so someone else could clean the pen for them. I was in charge of both adult Rotty parents.

I was cool with that until I got them out of the pen, as they were really big ones – they seemed friendly and I had to believe that or I’d be too scared to continue! LOL…

So, we get over to the bathing area and she started bathing the puppies as I was trying to keep them all in one place for us to finish our task!

Then, I think I woke up…I was tired when I woke up – I guess it was all that rushing around! LOL…

Babysitting and Nurses Dream

So, I’m in this dream and apparently, Kenney and I have been babysitting this Hispanic child, and brought him to the doctor’s appointment the mother had scheduled, where she met us.

He had to have his nose looked at for some reason…allergies?

Anyway, the mother, who didn’t speak ANY English told the doctor and us that she wanted to pay us back somehow…

She wanted to pay for each of us to have a check up by the nurses that she would pay for.

So, Kenney chose for the nurses to look at his knee. They proceeded to do a “biopsy” of his bone around his knee – weird, right?

The biopsy of the knee sample they got was actually black – they told Kenney his bones were dying…Bad, right? Kenney’s an athlete, so this is devastating news that he didn’t take very well.

I didn’t know what I wanted the nurses to look at, so the first thing that came to my mind was that my nose was stuffy and I had a cut on the inside of my nostril – which I actually have right now in real life.

So, the one nurse looked at it and was “hmmm-ing and haw-ing”. She called in another nurse and it was all very strange.

They were talking under their breath about who would tell me something. The one nurse, offended that the other nurse offered to let me know what it was, got defensive and said “I was trained to do this, you weren’t!”.

I’m very confused right now and worried they’re going to tell me something awful, right?

So, the nurse, in a boisterous and rude tone, says “Ummm…ok…Although it looks as though this could be problems with seasonal allergies, we will no longer be able to treat you for any nasal symptoms because it could be due to drug use…”

I was immediately infuriated! I don’t do drugs! I was shocked by this ridiculous answer…as was my husband!

Then, she proceeded to write this all down in my medical chart! I was really upset then because now it looks as though I’m a drug user…Unbelievable! I was really, really mad at this point.

My husband got in on the conversation and it went from bad to worse…Then, I woke up.

Admiring Mom’s Plants and Alarm Clock Dream

Another dream I had last night, Kenney and I were admiring my mother’s new plants and landscaping at my old childhood home (in this dream, my mother was still living there…)…

She had planted some beautiful trees that were very unique looking, some were weeping trees, a few birches, I believe.

She had an entire flower bed of bleeding hearts that were so very beautiful.

I was disappointed, though, that my mother stayed in the house – she didn’t feel like coming out to show us herself – I think she was tired…

Kenney and I were very impressed at how lovely it all was.

Then, our dogs ran out from the backyard all chasing Kurious (one of our female miniature schnauzers), as she had a huge toy bone that she had obviously dug up from somewhere in the backyard. LOL…

During the whole dream, I kept hearing Kenney’s phone alarm going off, as it does to wake us up in the morning, and he wasn’t turning it off as we were walking.

So, I got it out of his pocket and was trying to turn off the alarm. Just as I thought I had turned it off, it would go off again…No matter what I did, it kept on going off! So annoying!!!

Come to find out, it was really the alarm clock on his phone going off every 5 minutes, in real life…LOL…

We were both sleeping right through it! We had a long day @ sand volleyball in the sun yesterday. Also, Kenney’s grandmother passed away yesterday…so, that’s pretty draining as well…

Is it just me or did my mother sound sad in the dream? She planted bleeding hearts and weeping trees, and then didn’t feel like showing us herself all the hard work she had put into gardening…Hmmm…I should call her today!

Aunt Vera’s Birthday Dream

Well, I had a dream last night that we were holding a birthday party for my Aunt Vera (on my father’s side, who is actually a cousin, but since she’s much older, we’ve always called her Aunt Vera).

We were at my childhood home in St. Catharines and we had so many people over, but it seemed to be only women in our family, even people not related on that side of the family – a real menagerie.

My mother had made a beautiful, round cake with white fondant and gorgeous, colorful flowers of many colors on it.

The odd thing is is that my Aunt Vera passed away a few years ago…

We had a joyous celebration, however! It was nice to “see” her!

Orange Kitten and Thunderstorm Dream

What’s with me dreaming about cats lately – they’re not really my pet of choice anyway.

However, I’ve always been crazy about other people’s orange cats.

This morning, in real life (LOL), we actually had a long-awaited thunderstorm in Dallas come through around 4:30 am.

I went to open a few of the windows to get some real, cool air into this house and briefly enjoy the smell and sound of the rain outside.

I was awoken, again in real life, by a loud bang in the front room, so I went to check it out. Basically, our large fan had fallen over for whatever reason. I braced it and set it back straight and went back to bed.

Okay, here’s the dream, which I thought was real for a while. Just as I was awoken by the loud bang from the fan, I was “awoken”, but in my dream, by some faint cries.

I went outside of the room to investigate only to see an orange kitten hanging on for dear life on the windowsill, soaking wet from our real Dallas thunderstorm in the middle of the night. “Who knows how it got there”, was what I was thinking, but it didn’t matter. I just needed to grab this poor, little soul and bring it in from the scary thunder, lighting and soaking wet!

It was very appreciative and snuggled me. Now, if you don’t already know, we have 3 miniature schnauzers, not with us at the present moment – they’re visiting family right now…LOL…

…So, we’ve never really wanted a cat of any kind, especially with the pooches, and my hubby and I just aren’t “cat people” really.

Anyway, we decided to keep it, an ongoing story of my life (LOL), until we could maybe find the owners or something.

Then, the kitten started biting me, not just playfully, but as though it was so starving, it couldn’t help it.

My husband got up, after me waking him up to this situation I just discovered, and gave the kitten some leftover meat we had, in the dream, because we didn’t happen to have any milk…

The kitten ate the meat as quickly as it could and seemed famished! Every time it got hungry, it would latch on to my hand or arm biting the mess out of me!!! It was breaking my skin. I was getting quite annoyed at this little furry thing.

This is where the dream took more of a “dream-like” idea. All of a sudden, our mini schnauzers were there with us in our kitchen and barking at the door at someone walking by…The kitten was so intrigued by what they were doing that it wanted to join in with them and was following the dogs around trying to act like them, but it couldn’t figure out how to bark…It was too funny…

…All the while I’m watching it closely to be sure it doesn’t bite one of our dogs like it was biting me…LOL…

When I told my husband my dream I had, he told me he dreamt of cats too – evil cats that he had to kill because they were biting people and making them sick…in a nutshell…Disturbing to him because he is such an animal lover.

What’s interesting to me is that Kenney rarely remembers his dreams at all, on the even rarer occassion that he does have one.

Hmmm…I had to shake myself out of it when I awoke this morning, thinking that this dream could have been true, it was so congruent with what really happened prior to it last night with the thunderstorm and all.

The Pink Dog-Cat Dream

Alright, I promised I’d share my interesting dreams I have at night…

My dreams often take place at or around my childhood home or neighborhood, which this one does as well.

I was with my husband in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada about 1 block away from where I went to grade school and we were walking “home”. Now, by “home”, I mean my childhood home, which is about 4 blocks from this location.

As we were walking “home” during the last hour or so of daylight, from who knows where, a small, fluffy white dog that had been dipped in pink (as they did back in the 70s with poodles) came up to me.

It had a collar on, but strange tags. There was no phone number, name or even license number…It was a year (1941) and had an engraving of a large boat – like a passenger oceanliner, and the word Tapenade.

I got that the owners were immigrants of some kind back in the 40s – for whatever reason, they used this indicator as the dog’s identification.

Now, since I’m a foodie (one of my other websites is CookingWithKimberly.com, if you haven’t checked it out yet), I know what a tapenade is – it’s a Provençal dish (southeastern France on the Mediterranean) paste made out of crushed olives, capers and anchovies mixed with olive oil. It’s used as an hors d’oeuvre and spread on bread, typically, or used to stuff fillets for a main dish. It looks like this:

Anyway, since I know this, the dog was probably a poodle with longer hair, as the poodle is a French dog too.

(I know this dog photo above doesn’t look like the “typical” poodle with the pretty hair cut you may traditionally know, but when looking up “Poodle” in Wikipedia, this is a 17th Century engraving of a poodle – This is exactly what the little dog looked like in my dream – WOW – but he was pink. So, not only was he “dipped” in pink like a traditional poodle, but he was a poodle!)

I couldn’t figure out where the dog came from and didn’t see anyone around searching for their dog, and as it was getting dark, we had decided to bring the dog with us until we could decipher where it’s owners were, much against what my hubby really felt like doing, but he agreed nonetheless.

So, this dog keeps morphing into a pink poodle-like dog and a pink long-haired, Persian cat – interesting, right?

Anyway, it’s very lovable and gets along with us well. We get it home and it makes a “nest” of sorts on some blankets.

Unfortunately, I woke up shortly thereafter, so I couldn’t finish the dream – I’ll let you know if I get to finish it some time or what…LOL…Sorry to have to leave y’all hangin’!

I thought this was an interesting dream – it was riddled with intrigue on who the dog/cat owner was…Hmmm…France?

I looked up “1941 France” on Wikipedia and came up with 2 possibilities that had to do with ships:

January 17th, 1941 – Battle of Koh Chang, which was a victory by the French over the Thai Navy

December 12th, 1941 – USA seizes French ship Normandie

What is that about then?

Alright people, many of you may not know that I am a dreamer – a serious dreamer.

Often, the dreams I have come true in some shape or form – sometimes sooner than later.

I dream just about every night, so you may be in for a treat.

This is a rare glimpse into my dream-life – also, it will help me document them too.

Now, I have “normal” dreams everyone else does, with purple cats & dogs and wild adventures where I’m flying…I even have the odd nightmare, much less than I used to, by the way, where I am trying to run but don’t seem to be getting anywhere or I’m being attacked and try to scream but nothing comes out…

…but as I said earlier, I have some serious dreams of foresight too.

I can really surprise my family at times with the dreams I tell them about that either show them I’ve seen something I wouldn’t have otherwise ever known about, or tell them something that will happen. I’ve even told my mother to be careful one day in the kitchen, so as to save her from potential harm and injury – and it helped – but that’s a story for another day – of course, I’ll share these interesting things with you as we go!

Please do not get this mistaken – God offers me a glimpse, for whatever reason, into what may happen.

Sometimes, they are dreams of fore-warning, sometimes meant for an encouragement to people.

However, when I have “that kind of dream”, I just know it – I can’t really explain how I do, but when I have one, I am well aware it’s one to file in my memory banks not to forget for the future.

Some dreams I will tell you, and some I may need to keep tucked under my hat. I do whatever the Lord “instructs” me, and determine that either by Him telling me directly in my dream or otherwise, or by my “gutt” feeling.

So, I hope you enjoy my dreams, compare them with your own, and feel free to interpret dreams, as there are Christian dream interpreters out there.

I must ask, though, if you are not interpreting my dreams in a Christian light, and instead by a “worldly” or psychological light, please refrain.

To be clear – I am NOT a pyschic by any means!!!

Some people who are fellow Christians label me as a “dreamer” with the gift of “prophesying”.

That may be deep for some of you, but to me, it’s everyday life…

What I have learned, however, by studying what dreams are all about is that they are a communication with God. Sometimes, you may feel you have a “crazy”, “strange” dream, but they are a way for God to communicate with you.

Know Why?
Probably because God has your undivided attention – you can’t over-talk or interrupt Him. All you need to do is listen, take it in, and remember it in the morning! LOL…

My father-in-law has been encouraging me to write down my dreams to “inspect” them and to be able to revisit them in the future, if necessary.

As I haven’t been doing a really great job at doing this, and only writing down the dreams I feel are “worthwhile”, I may be missing some serious lessons. So, I’m going to try to do better and this Dream Journal should help me do just that.

So, not only is this dream journal for your “entertainment” and interest, but it is valuable to me and will help me with developing my inner spiritual ear!
