So Ready for a Vacation!

Posted by: Kimberly  /  Category: Life, Tips, What's New

That’s right, people…

…This girl is ready for a vacation – somewhere exotic, warm, beautiful, far away on a beach somewhere!

Maldives

Maybe on a mountaintop somewhere or in a ski lodge…

Honestly, I just need a little time “out of the ordinary”…the usual grind online, researching real estate or making shoots…

…just a little down-time!

So, I’ve been looking around onine at some deals for all kinds of vacations – all-inclusive or otherwise.

What I found was unbelievable deals, especially from British Airways, right out of Toronto! They’re having their November Seat Sale right now they’re calling a “world sale”…

I usually fly out of Buffalo for convenience and lower prices, so finding deals out of Toronto, like round trips to London, England for $386 or to Paris for $494, I nearly fell out of my chair, literally.

How about a flight to Cairo, Egypt for $654? These are the vacations I’m talking about…

Honestly, we couldn’t go “Up North” in Ontario for cheaper than that!!!

Actually, I have my eyes on a vacation to Maldives for $928. That’s my idea of paradise…

Plus, you can get an “Upgraded” experience with 200+ entertainment options. You’ll also get British Airways’ world class service including complimentary food and cocktails on all flights and some of the most comfortable seats in the industry.

They can also help you plan the best holiday experience for you and your desired destination.

However, you must book by November 19th! That’s the only catch.

What’s your idea of the perfect getaway?

Sign me up! I’m ready to go! I just talked with my hubby about booking a trip…Check it out for yourselves & get your own trip! LOL

Solar Power is the New Hotness

Posted by: Kimberly  /  Category: Life, Tips, What's New

My husband and I are about to buy a house that will need electrical repair – almost a re-do.

So, instead of repairing it traditionally, we’re taking the opportunity to completely exchange the old system out for solar lighting and electricity.

Now, you may not have that opportunity, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use solar powered items to be more green, and save on electricity costs.

Whether you’re looking for functional security lights or decorative, festive lights for any occassion, you’ll be helping to save the planet with renewable solar energy that will save you money in the long run too.

Solar Security Lighting from Outdora

Only just recently, they’ve started selling really beautiful solar powered lights that work really well and are durable from places like Outdora.

Solar lights don’t just look like your parents’ old Noma Moonrays of old. They now come in some extremely elaborate, vibrant and glitzy designs with color-changing LED lights that bejewel and illuminate your outdoor space and make it your very own paradise at night time.

Solar Powered Lights from Outdora

I’ve never seen these solar planters before. What a neat idea! They come in several colors – 6 to be exact – and can be used electrically or with solar power. An unexpected surprise in your garden or on your patio…

Our New House!

Posted by: Kimberly  /  Category: Life, What's New

My husband and I have a contract in on a house down here in Dallas right now – to actually live in ourselves for a change! LOL…

We look at houses on a daily basis for our real estate investing and don’t really get our feathers ruffled by any pretty houses…However, when both of us saw this one – we both knew it had to be ours because we were oohing & ahhing every few seconds and just couldn’t stop thinking about it!

We have been waiting almost 1 week for the bank to tell us if they’ll accept this offer. It’s a foreclosed property, so in this case no news is good news because they are required to tell us if there are any other offers on the table…

We’ve been out to see “our house” almost every Read more…

Wind Chimes make Working in the Garden Fun

Posted by: Kimberly  /  Category: Great Products, Life, What's New

I do a lot of working outside in the yard and gardens in Niagara Falls and in Dallas.

Hot days can fell very long and boring when you don’t have any amusement other than weeding, bagging and mowing.

Garden wind chimes (aside from reminding me of the movie “The Hand That Rocks The Cradle”…LOL), make working in the yard much more fun, peaceful and tranquil.

You stop concentrating on all the hard labor you’re doing and enjoy their beautiful sounds.

I like the bamboo and shell type garden wind chimes because they remind me of being in Australia – I can still smell the ocean air and hear their sounds.

So, when working on the investment properties we fix up, I like to hang a wind chime to uplift us while we “toil”.

It’s so funny how noises can remind you of home. Whenever I hear a certain type of wind chime, it reminds me of being at my mother and father’s home in Canada and my youth.

There were also garden wind chimes “Up North” at our cottage on Lake Huron. So nostalgic.

Sounds like these can really be “noise therapy” – it can calm you, bring back memories and make dull errands much more enjoyable.

Outdora.com has a wide selection of wind chimes of all sorts, whatever your sound and style preferences. Plus, I think it’s the  neatest thing that they have audio samples of all their wind chimes, so you can “try before you buy” and get the one you love most.

If you’re not into wind chimes, whether they be aluminium or bamboo, you might fall in love with their wide variety of wind bells too…they are so charming and there are so many choices!

Let the gentle breeze power those soothing sounds and keep you abuzz in your back-yard!

Life: Moving Things from One Place to Another

Posted by: Kimberly  /  Category: Life, What's New

When I think about life, I often see it as simply moving things from one place to another.

What do I mean by that?

When you grocery shop, for example, you’re moving the products you purchase from the store to your home.
When you cook it, it’s being moved from the packages, is eaten and moved to your stomach.

Then, you move it out of your body, which then moves into the environment.
This, then will cycle back through, helping to create something that grows.

When you clean, you simply keep on moving things from one place back to another place.
When you use those items, you’re moving them.

When you travel, you’re moving yourself from one place to another.

When you play sports, you’re moving your body or an implement to score points.

Take a Vaca to a Radio Disney Summer Concert

Posted by: Kimberly  /  Category: Life, What's New

Who couldn’t use a vacation? I know I could! LOL

Well, have you ever been to the Jersey Shore?

Morey’s Piers is there, which is a Beachfront Amusement Park and Waterpark to keep you cool in that summer sun!

moreyspiers

Not only that, Radio Disney has a Summer Concert Series going on there to keep the kids even happier from June through August with all of the hottest Disney stars!

Oh yeah, and did I mention that the Concerts are Completely FREE? Yup, that’s right!

Once you decide to go and enjoy yourself there, you’ll need to check out the Wildwood New Jersey hotels and make a reservation in advance. (That would be a good idea!)

Also, I wanted to let you in on a secret…They have some really great food attractions there too – You all know I’m a foodie (CookingWithKimberly.com).

Who doesn’t love amusement park food? I love to eat amazing funnel cakes, cotton candy, foot-long hot dogs, corn dogs, fresh-squeezed lemonade, handmade pretzels, bloomin’ onions, caramel corn, waffles and ice cream, and candy apples…

However, they also have some great restaurants at the pier too – including some serious seafood feasts!

So, if you’ve always wanted to visit the Jersey shore, be sure to stop by the New Jersey amusement parks, eat a funnel cake for me, and have an amazing seafood dinner with your family!

What more could you ask for?

Maybe an oceanside view – That comes with this vacation – an amazing view of the water!!!

Okay, so go get to planning that Jersey Shore beach Vacation now!
