On March 30th, Canadian model, Kimberly Edwards, officially shot with Carrie Lee of Clee Images for the first time in a closed session. This female empowered, strong, sexy, diva photo shoot turned out to be one of Kimberly’s favorites. The model said: Carrie Lee is fabulous to work with, easy to vibe off of, and gives marvelous direction to accomplish the vision she has in her head. It was fun today because I got to work “outside the box”, and express a part of me I often don’t get the chance to on camera. It was liberating yet classy, and will no doubt show that the new sexy is fit and in-your-face! Fellow Kapow Model, Amanda F., shot the same day with Carrie Lee as well at former nightclub, Sutra, on it’s closing day. Special thanks for Ngeemeng Ung & Andre “Trini” Smith for allowing the crew to shoot at the club and making everything functional for them. Clee Images also photographed the 2011 Living Pink Through Fashion Show for Breast Cancer in Crystal Beach on August 20th where she got acquainted with Kimberly Edwards, the founder of LivingPink.info. At the end of March, Canadian model, Kimberly Edwards, had the honor of walking runway for South Asian bridal design line, Dhaagay by Madiha Malik at the Canada Pakistan Friendship Association Charity Event. One night as I was floating around on Facebook, I noticed a very cool set of photos on one of my acquaintances’ profiles, James William Wesley Perry. Mr. Perry inboxed me and told me I’d have a smile on my face by morning, which I did. My smile was from ear to ear. He had taken a group of about a dozen photos of me and edited in much the same way. What a sweet person to do this for someone they virtually don’t know. Here’s an excerpt of the work, and a link to the 19 photos in the album on Facebook: Kimberly Veritas. Then, I noticed this morning, 10 more photos edited…what a fun thing to wake up to… I have noticed that most of the random photos he chose were by two photographers: Zdenka Darula & Studio Wali. Wanted to share with you all that I am the featured model for TheArtiz Crew’s YouTube Channel this week. One morning about a month ago or so, I woke up to a modeling video that was made for me by someone I had never met or knew. They did a bang-up job creating a very thorough video of me and my modeling, charity & acting work, including stats and contact info for my social networks. I was very honored & flattered to have caught their attention. This weekend, they informed me they updated my video with new pics, etc. and I’m their featured model this week. Yes, it has occurred to me that I’ve been so busy, I haven’t had a chance to share most of what’s going on with you, my dear fans, followers, friends & family, unless you are on my Facebook Fan Page for quick tidbits of my goings-on. Therefore, I will be trying to backtrack some and bring you all up to speed. Photo left: Model: Kimberly Edwards; Photo: photoGEMS.ca; MUA: Lethy; Hair: Amanda Forde; Design: Dream Couture; Agency: Kapow Models & Talent Agency The designers, vendors, organizers, and the entire team of models, make-up artists & hair stylists had a chance to shine that day with 4 stellar fashion shows on the red carpeted runway ramp. Karizma by Nyla, Dream Couture, and Sai Vachan Creations were the 3 designers I walked for on the runway. The final show was a multicultural bridal show where the models could wear a bridal outfit that represented their own cultures. Both me, and fellow Kapow Model, Amanda F., had a great make-up artist, named Lethy, that helped us out due to the crazy nature backstage. Amanda did a marvelous job on my hair too. Have you been keeping your eyes open in the Toronto area or online for the new photos from Shabi’s? I wrote about my photo shoot for Shabi’s, a South Asian clothier in Toronto, back in January, and just realized I never shared the newly released photos with you from this photo shoot. We are, apparently, waiting for a few more, but I’m going to share them with you right now. Again, our photographer was Seith Shahbaz, with hair and make-up provided by Huma’s Bridals. The designer in this first photo is Shabira Waliany. * The gorgeous earrings I wore in this photo were so graciously given to me by Shabi’s as a thank you gift. I absolutely am in love with them. As I mentioned the other day, I did a photo shoot for Dhaagay – South Asian Bridal Clothing Line – and the photographer was Studio Wali. Today, he released a few of the photos, and I wanted to share them with you as well. One of the photos is from the Dhaagay line (if you hover over the photo with your mouse, you will be able to see all the photo credits for each photo): …And the other 2 are just creatives we did afterward for fun, but they ended up being maybe my very favorite photos I’ve done: In the photo on the left, the Superman Shirt is a re-styled item from my “K, Turn Around” Fashion line, and the photo on the right features my own “K, Turn Around” Jewelry earrings & ring from my collection. Wali definitely has a real eye when it comes to capturing, and he is so easy to work with…everyone had a super fun day, for sure!
