The very first thing I like to go over when coaching young softball pitchers is to address how they grip their fastball and explain to them the reasons why the grip I teach works.
The horseshoe, two-seam grip is what is most beneficial when throwing a proper fastball with proper technique.
This is the place to begin...How you hold the ball. You can gain much speed simply by gripping the ball in the most advantageous manner available for a fastpitch softball pitcher.

If you all didn't know, I am a softball player.
This Victoria Day/May 2-4 weekend in Canada, I am going to be coaching as a pitching coach at the 2012 PWSA Softball Skills Camp in Oshawa.
The young athletes I will be coaching are in the squirt and novice level, and I can't wait to whip them into shape, and teach them all I know about the game and pitching.
* Check out my Video below!
I started playing when I was about 7 years old, and eventually went to Australia to play on 2 teams. Read more [...]
Yesterday, I had the extreme honor of photo shooting for Sai Vachan Creations, a South Asian jewelry designer, with beautiful designs that could rival any other jewelry collection out there.
My amazing photographer, Jia Naveed of Jia's Photography, was absolutely fantastic to shoot with.
Jia is as cool as a cucumber, calm and focused, giving great direction to achieve her artistic vision. With imaginative ideas, as well as a love for fashion photography, Jia knows how to get the "money shots" Read more [...]

One night as I was floating around on Facebook, I noticed a very cool set of photos on one of my acquaintances' profiles, James William Wesley Perry.

I had left a quick comment about how I liked the photo of a model with a really cool wash that made the photo look old-fashioned.

Wanted to share with you all that I am the featured model for TheArtiz Crew's YouTube Channel this week.
One morning about a month ago or so, I woke up to a modeling video that was made for me by someone I had never met or knew. They did a bang-up job creating a very thorough video of me and my modeling, charity & acting work, including stats and contact info for my social networks.
I was very honored & flattered to have caught their attention.
This weekend, they informed me they Read more [...]
Fan Questions:
Do you feel a physical characteristic of a person helps you identify with them?

Yes, it has occurred to me that I've been so busy, I haven't had a chance to share most of what's going on with you, my dear fans, followers, friends & family, unless you are on my Facebook Fan Page for quick tidbits of my goings-on. Therefore, I will be trying to backtrack some and bring you all up to speed.

When you are an intrinsic giver, a gift I like to think God bestows on special people, sometimes you just give way too much of yourself...
...at the end of the day, you have nothing left to fuel yourself on anymore...Drained by the world, what they want from you, what they need, on their terms...
...Trust in God, not man. Give man (the world) and inch, and they'll take a mile from you...

Have you been keeping your eyes open in the Toronto area or online for the new photos from Shabi's?
I wrote about my photo shoot for Shabi's, a South Asian clothier in Toronto, back in January, and just realized I never shared the newly released photos with you from this photo shoot.
We are, apparently, waiting for a few more, but I'm going to share them with you right now.
Again, our photographer was Seith Shahbaz, with hair and make-up provided by Huma's Bridals.

As I mentioned the other day, I did a photo shoot for Dhaagay - South Asian Bridal Clothing Line - and the photographer was Studio Wali.
Today, he released a few of the photos, and I wanted to share them with you as well.
One of the photos is from the Dhaagay line (if you hover over the photo with your mouse, you will be able to see all the photo credits for each photo):

As a woman, and especially a model, I wear make-up.
Many photo shoots & projects require extensive make-up for special effects, or for the glamorous look, or creative shoots. There are times where the make-up feels like it weighs 10 lbs, and feels caked on, and it can be very difficult to effectively remove this make-up
Last night, upon returning home from an entire day of shooting, after 6 looks, my face was caked with serious make-up and by the last look, my eyes were very smokey and Read more [...]
